Black Friday 2026: how to shop it without getting caught out

Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Many UK shops start their offers weeks earlier.
- Make a list now of what you actually need, with today's prices. That's your benchmark.
- Set price alerts on those items so you know when a real drop happens.
- Beware early "Black Friday prices" that match what the item cost a month ago.
- Big-ticket tech such as TVs, headphones and consoles often sees good prices, but not every product is discounted.
- Don't panic-buy at the countdown timer. Many deals return before Christmas or in the January sales.
- Paying over 拢100? Using a credit card can give extra protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act if something goes wrong.
